Doom Gardens is one of three corrupted maps in Chapter 2. It is set in a corrupted botanic garden full of vegetation and irrigation pipes. Access to it is locked behind two locks: firstly the Tech Room has to be unlocked with the Tech Room Key and secondly the 25 Powercell door has to be unlocked with 25 Powercells. To clear this map, the player has to navigate the map fast enough to reach the end before the timer ticks down and potentially collect the teal Power Crystal. This map is filled with explosive enemies hindering the player's progress. Defeating the enemies can drop yellow orbs which replenish the timer a bit. Failing to reach the end before the timer hits zero results in the door to the Power Crystal room closing, unless the Crystal has already been claimed.

Subareas[]

The map can roughly be divided into 3 subareas:

  • the entry area where the player spawns
  • the main area where the combat happens
  • the Power Crystal room with a Badbot Body

Prior Maps[]

Doom Gardens is only accessible from Fields. Access to is is locked behind two locks: firstly the Tech Room has to be unlocked with the Tech Room Key and secondly the 25 Powercell door has to be unlocked with 25 Powercells.

Next Maps[]

There is only one potential next map available from Doom Gardens: going through the map and collecting the teal Power Crystal in time or just using the exit leads to the Secret Entry Area of Fields.

Power Crystal[]

Teal Power Crystal Icon

The Doom Gardens are home to the teal Power Crystal. Access to it is locked behind a timed door. Once the player has reached the Power Crystal room, they can collect a Perk Upgrade from a Badbot Body and the teal Power Crystal, upon whose collection they will continue to the next map. The teal Power Crystal has two effects, which can be turned off and on at the Crystal Machine in the Basecamp:

  • Effect on The Moon: Suppresses the Hack Flies reinforcements on the Moon.
  • Permanent Effect: Scavenger: Elite enemies have more chance of dropping Powercells.
