The Pit is one of three corrupted maps in Chapter 1. It is set in a corrupted mining area full of excavation equipment and quarried blocks. Access to it is locked behind a door which requires a 3-digit code to open. The door to The Pit is placed rather high making access hard. Having the Pogo Stick Gadget trivializes access, but weapons with the Rocket Jump affix can allow access even without the gadget. To clear this map the player has to clear three corrupted challenges, defeat the boss and collect the red Power Crystal.
Subareas[]
The map can roughly be divided into 6 subareas:
- the entry area where the player spawns
- the main area where the main combat happens
- the three corrupted challenge areas
- the break room right before the boss with a small selection of deployable bots
- the boss: El'Moustiko
- the Power Crystal room

The Pit is only accessible from Quarry by going through the exit in the Excavation Site.
Next Maps[]
There is only one potential next map available from The Pit: going through the map, clearing all three corrupted challenges, beating the El'Moustiko and colleting the Power Crystal leads to the Secret Entry Area of Aqua Station.
Power Crystal[]
The Pit is home to the red Power Crystal. Access to it is locked behind having to clear three corrupted challenges and defeating a the boss: El'Moustiko. Once it is defeated, the player can progress to the next room and collect the red Power Crystal, upon whose collection they will continue to the next map.
The red Power Crystal has two effects, which can be turned off and on at the Crystal Machine in the Basecamp:
- Effect on The Moon: Deactivates all lasers on the Moon.
- Permanent Effect: Say My Name!: Heisenbot sometimes joins Max's friendly bots. It can craft corrupted items using Powercells.
