Wrenches are one of the two main currencies in the game, the other being Powercells. Wrenches are mainly used outside of runs to unlock permanent upgrades at the Workshop, however, their use is not limited to that. Update 1.1 introduced a new NPC called Lottery Luke who will award the player with a plethora of different rewards in exchange for Wrenches during a run, including even Wrenches. Additionally, Wrenches are also used to buy Weapon and Enemy Cards from Leonardo Brushido in the Art Gallery in Haven City.
Wrenches can be acquired from a few different sources:
- Defeating enemies
- Completing a Map on Hard difficulty or higher
- Buying them from Bazaar Bob
- Reward from Lottery Luke
